DEPORAFDER is an independent non-profit legal association in Turkey specialized in industrial storage racking systems. The association has a vision to provide a platform for both user and supplier companies of storage racking systems (SRS) in Turkey with the aim of promoting the efficient design and use of all types and sizes of storage systems from conventional pallet racks to fully automated high rise AS-RS rack systems.<\/p>\n
Turkey is a developing country with a growing economy. The production and export rates of Turkish companies are at competitive levels compared with most of the countries in the region. Within this context, logistics sector has always been very dynamic and SRS sector plays a very key role in the logistics supply chain. Therefore we believe that the association has a very critical role to play for the benefit of its member companies. With this respect we have prepared an action plan which includes projects and activities targetted towards the solution of real problems and the betterment of the existing general condition of the SRS industry in Turkey.<\/p>\n
\nWe also have a vision to participate and contribute to the projects carried out especially in the European zone including particularly research and development activites of the European Racking Federation (ERF) and the American Rack Manufacturers Institute (RMI).<\/h5>\n<\/blockquote>\n
Based on the experience and observations of the founding members of the association and advice given by related authorities the association aims to serve the five main sector shareholders namely SRS users, suppliers, assemblers, recyclers and resellers A number of technical committees were establised as channels to serve the above groups. The committees include academic people from universities (national and international) as well as experienced people from the SRS industry. As DEPORAFDER, we have a strong belief that the commitment of the association with its official organs will play a significant role in the betterment of the national storage and storage racking industry.<\/p>\n
